Area groups of the 2mm Scale Association meet informally to exchange ideas, give demonstrations or build group projects. The Oxford Area Group was formed over ten years ago and holds meetings for the Association members based in Oxfordshire and the surrounding South Midlands area. Though relatively inactive in recent years, mainly because of the lack of any suitable venue at which to meet, the group has now arranged with the Abingdon and District Model Railway Club to meet at the ADMRC clubroom. The meetings take place between about 7.15pm and 10pm on the 3rd Wednesday of each month during April - September inc. and on the 1st Wednesday of each month during October - March inc.

Currently all Group members are also members of the Abingdon Club and it has been agreed that the Group's layout can be stored at the clubroom so that Group members can work on the layout whenever the clubroom is open (Some Wednesday evenings, Most Friday evenings and the occasional Saturday)

The Group members would be pleased for any other Association member in the area, or any just passing through, to call in and join us. Most of our effort is given over to work on the Group's Layout but sometimes this can take the form of a demonstration from which all can benefit. We're also not adverse to a bit of armchair modelling or problem solving on occasion!
